We at Houghton Golf Club noticed an increase level of water seepage in our 9th dam quite some time ago. The dam, which holds about 250,000,00 liters of water was originally built in 2006/2007 and had a bentonite base. Over time with crabs, fish & general wildlife disrupting the dam base. We found a weakened structure in the dam wall and this subsequently resulted in considerable water loss.
Having done some investigation into the possible solutions, we decided to move forward with Andre Fourie and Aqua Plastech’s DamIt™ Dam Sealer to seal the dam. Andre arrived with his dispensing unit which was actually a large drone to ensure an even distribution of DamIt™ Dam Sealer over the entire dam area.
After the first few days we did notice less seepage and over time the wet areas adjacent to the dam did lessen in size. Six to eight weeks later we had no leakage whatsoever and we no longer have any leaks at all.
Would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking to seal their dams.
